On Monday, I had to go for an ultrasound on my carotid arteries. I’ll admit now that I was a little nervous and concerned about it. Even though I had just gone in for my usual 6-month checkup and med adjustments last week, my doctor wanted to cover all the bases (my blood pressure was a little high that day).

I received a call this morning from “Renee” saying that everything was “pumping thru really good”. Renee is just a beautiful, wonderful, perfect girl [I’ve never met her in my life, just heard her saying wonderful words to me.].

Isn’t that the way it goes with we humans though? When people say what we want to hear, we really like them even though we know absolutely nothing about them.

It’s important and sometimes difficult to get to know the “real” person. It means spending the time and effort to listen, observe, feel what that person is feeling, see the results of their feelings displayed outwardly.

This can be very difficult with some people. There is a person in my life [no choice about it] who is one of those difficult people. The fact is this person has a big heart, but most people will never be aware of it because of the way she acts and reacts to other people. God has helped me to deal with her so far with only a few reactions of my own. It’s difficult to say the least and really sad that she drives people away so often and ends up very lonely.

Thank God for this:

..for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 [King James] Biblos.com: Search, Read, Study the Bible in Many Languages

  1. I think I’ve met this person of whom you speak, and I think the happy news you received from Renee may have colored your feelings on this particular day. 😛
