Guess what?

I started to back out of my garage to run a couple of quick errands, and guess what happened? A few rain drops on my windshield. No problem – I have windshield wipers.

About 5 minutes later, this is what I saw thru my windshield…

A few feet further, it looked like this and it sounded like hail hitting, so I headed back home:

At home, I could barely see well enough to pull back into the garage and the gutters were overflowing.

Yesterday we got 1.5 inches – the next county where our family farm is received 4.5 inches. I’m sure the river has been out of banks many times this year.

The flood gates at the dam have to be opened again so our state will see more flooding. I’m so sorry for the people who live in the path of the flooding waters.

I really try to be a positive person, but the rain is making it really hard. Still, my family and my home is not in danger, and maybe the rain will produce many more bales of hay for the guy renting our farm. And…..being retired, I really don’t have to get out unless I choose to.

That’s the best I can do for Positive Thinking today.
