GOODBYE, IKE! IT HAS NOT BEEN FUN.

I didn’t know a hurricane/storm could travel so far.

After the devastation that Ike caused in LA, TX and other southern states, “he” decided to cut back across the US to the NE. Last night was our turn for a visit. The winds were strong, the rain heavy, but it appears the damage is only a few limbs down in the neighborhood.

Our electricity is back on after being off for about 10 hours. I didn’t want to open my refrigerator since we’d just bought groceries, so went and got a fast food breakfast. The temperatures dropped enough that we didn’t miss the air-conditioner.

Keep praying for those who were in the main path of the storm. Their losses and needs are major!
